I had the great honor and pleasure of making this commissioned piece for very dear friends of mine, a request to commemorate a significant dream and experience one of them had. This actually came out identical to my original vision, which I cannot say for very many of my works lol. I call it a little art miracle—it was meant to be. The key exception is how the facial features and figurative details so played with the eye, depending on the lighting. It was such a fun aspect to see come to life, and what I think makes this so special, at least to me as the artist.
