VISIO DIVINA

Have you ever heard of Visio Divina? It’s much like the ancient practice of slowly praying through the Scriptures, except with pictures. It’s a form of prayer. If you’re someone who’s visual or is just looking for a new way to connect with God this could be the thing to try. Doesn’t have to be a religious picture, could be any sort of artwork, photo, scenery, shoot, make your own. And just begin to study it piece by piece, tuning into what God would speak to you through it. This can be a really great exercise for developing metaphorical understanding which is pivotal for understanding dream interpretation. If you’re someone who struggles with taking everything too literally, this could be a really good thing to implement into your spiritual practice to begin to train and strengthen the right side of the brain. And, of course, connect with the Creator.
The piece in particular was super fun to do this exercise with, which is why I named it VISIO DIVINA.
